About Me
I have been a professional programmer since 1979. From 1984 until 2007 I worked for the University of Texas at Austin as a database administrator and web programmer. In the summer of 2007 I left UT and went to work as a DBA for both MySQL and Oracle systems at Hoover's Inc. in Austin.
Currently, I work in the same capacity at Excel Telecommunications in Austin. I am the lead DBA for a 4.5 Tbyte MySQL database, as well as a 100 Gbyte SQL Server database.
